The climate crisis is widely regarded as a “wicked problem”. Why? It is complex. It is interdependent on several factors, and its myriad consequences are not just in a far-away future – you and I are dealing with them right now. Here in Australia, temperatures are rising, rainfall patterns are changing, and bushfire risk is worsening.
But in the face of all the interconnected and complex challenges that climate change poses, The Nature Conservancy (TNC) is as determined today as it has ever been to make a positive impact for nature.
Because, together, we believe we can find a way.
Thanks to generous supporters like you, our strong science and solid partnerships, we’re rebuilding reefs, helping to create new national parks and nature reserves, protecting wetlands and supporting Indigenous partners to re-establish traditional fire management techniques that reduce net greenhouse gas emissions and boost biodiversity across northern Australia.
None of this is possible without you. And we need your help today to continue this important work.
