WORLD WILDLIFE DAY

Australia’s wildlife needs your help

The Actions You Take Now Will Be Crucial.

Nature can’t wait. The threats to our planet are mounting every day as species go extinct, unsustainable development decimates habitat, and climate change wreaks havoc on the lands and waters we all need to survive.

According to research led by the University of Queensland, there are five countries that disproportionately hold the fate of life on Earth in their hands. Due to the rapid reduction of our planet’s wilderness in the past century, more than 70% of the world’s last untouched wilderness lies in the territories of just five countries—and Australia is one of them.

These areas provide vital refuges for endangered species threatened by habitat loss and overexploitation, and provide some of our best defences against the devastating weather events brought on by climate change.

Now more than ever, we need people like you who understand nature’s struggles to lead the way in confronting the biggest environmental challenges.

Here at The Nature Conservancy, these increasing threats only inspire a stronger resolve to protect nature and all that it provides.

Your support will help power conservation in Australia — defending threatened species and partnering with local communities to protect the nature we all rely on.

The future of Australia’s natural environment depends on dedicated people like you. Thank you for giving back to nature.

Thank you.
